Our Festivals and Events
Stratford On Avon Film Festival 2024 has successfully completed its second year of running at the Bear Pit Theatre in the artistic capital of the country ‘Stratford Upon Avon.
Throughout the day 28 films were shown ranging from the incredible feature film ‘All Roads Lead To Home’ by local filmmaker Darren Scott, to many short films, documentaries and music videos. SOAFF prides itself on providing a platform for young student filmmakers and local filmmakers from around the Midlands.
The team behind the festival know how important it is to provide a broad spectrum of films and endeavour to show the most diverse and eclectic films they can. The atmosphere this year was great with good attendance throughout the day. At the end of each screening block the floor was opened up for Q&A sessions where filmmakers happily engaged in talking about their films, and answering audience questions.
What makes SOAFF stand out from the crowd is its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, something that has been recognised by audience members and well documented in their feedback of the event. All of the team behind the festival are professionals in the industry with some being award winning filmmakers themselves.
To round the day off an awards evening was held to celebrate the filmmakers work. A total of 29 awards were handed out to some very happy individuals with special guest Hilgrove Kendrick, a composer with a wide resume of producing music for film and TV such as Shadowhunter and 12 Monkeys to name but a few.
REVIEWS: "We had the absolute pleasure of attending this festival - and we were treated so incredibly well!
The festival organisers were attentive, caring and very hospitable - if you're wondering if you should, definitely submit to this brilliant event! :)
“The team are filmmakers who foster a wide appreciation of film genres and levels and then wrap them up with big dose of love and attention. All the many talented filmmakers I met there had a great time and that's not often the case."
“Had the best time in such a friendly environment! As the youngest filmmaker there I was very nervous but the atmosphere was so wonderful - had the best time when my student music video 'How Do I Say Goodbye' and was awarded Best Newcomer!!”
